Only The Bitch Knows

Gundam 00 Episode 06

Ah, I should have foreseen a cliffhanger like this. I guess I wasn’t smart enough to make the connection with the red-haired guy that he was previously seen in the series. I generally don’t notice things like that (and certainly not at one in the morning when I wrote this post). Even so I felt myself pulled into the episode as to what would happen next only to find that it stopped right when my interest peeked. Oh, how thoroughly cruel. Yes, I did indeed yell at my TV screen.

I think one of the most interesting things seen in this episode was certainly the interaction between Billy and Sumeragi. It was surprising to see that they knew each other, and not only that seemed to have a chemistry. It was obvious they had some sort of untold story, though it is rather unsettling to see that everyone but the viewer seems to know about it. It makes you wonder how much the creators wish to extend their character’s livelihood in all actuality. I smell favoritism! Though I will admit I hope this doesn’t lead to a love hate relationship between the pair considering they are on opposite sides.

There was also a certain flare seen in many Gundam heroines that I felt Marina disclosed. She stated in such a hinting manner that the Celestial Beings were to soon show up, I’m wondering if this is her cue to run right into the middle of the danger and show herself just for the fact she is a princess. We all know other Gundam woman have done it, and to see if it will happen again would not phase me, I would only hope she wouldn’t be as reckless as that others that precede her. Though this is a subtle what if, I doubt she would do as such this early in the show, though we never do truly know until the next episode.
