Clannad Episode 11

It was nice to have Clannad make me laugh out loud again. I was somewhat scared Kotomi’s arc would bore me because her introduction last episode disappointed me far more then I could truly understand. Despite her cute charm and oddly moe persona, I somehow felt that she would turn into a very flat character. However, episode eleven proved me wrong in every sense due to a decent equality between seriousness and entertainment. I believe there was more then one instant where I felt the need to pause and go back just for the extra laugh. I truly miss Clannad sometimes, and coming back to it after so long just makes it old worth wild when I think of how much I missed the characters. Continue reading Clannad Episode 11…

Clannad Episode 10

Ah, trouble is arising in Clannad world. This was actually the first time I was bored watching an episode. I’m not sure if this was more so due to the fact I have a head cold right now, or merely because the cuteness I once saw in Kotomi kind of faded away due to the fact she was such a center point in the show. Maybe a bit of charm vanished due to the fact that mysterious girl seemed to as well. That, and introductions are never truly very fun in all actuality. Despite that I felt the episode was rather warm and entertaining as always to an extent. Continue reading Clannad Episode 10…

Clannad Episode 09

I was kind of taken aback when I found I wasn’t generally affected by Fuko’s departure in a gloomy way. I didn’t really become teary-eyed or cried like I predicted. Maybe it’s because I took such a long break from Clannad, or maybe it’s because she received such a heartwarming ending to her arc. While she remained hyper and childlike till the end, she seemed to capture everyone’s eye in the process merely due to her persona’s charm. I will miss Fuko, I’m sure of it, but at the same time I feel that I’m glad to move on to another character. In all honesty I sincerely missed the growth from others instead of Fuko, but it really appealed to me to see such a nice and refined dramatization of her finally leaving. And the weight of the series just gets heavier and heavier as Fuko’s arc becomes closer to its destined end. I was at a cross as whether not to cry near the end of this episode. Nagisa’s mother almost did it in for me when it came time. I felt tears in my eyes, and could only grasp the fact that realistically Fuko is so loved. That’s a great comfort as a viewer, and I’m sure for the character herself. I mean, she has gotten so much support when it comes to her goal. I feel that this is a proper manner of allowing the show to advance because we saw involvement from almost all the characters involved in her arc in this episode. That was such an engaging and immense feeling. Continue reading Clannad Episode 08…

Clannad Episode 07

While Fuko was boring me last week, and that slight feeling proceeding to following me, her arc seems to uphold such a keen interest. I assumed Clannad was going to follow their previous pattern, continue introducing a dramatic moment only to glaze over it with comedy as seen earlier; however, the heavy emotion of dread was apparent a good majority of this episode. It’s true that this hints the end of her path is finally coming, but it’s very nice to experience the sheer sadness involved with these otherwise optimistic characters. Clannad Episode 06

Finishing this week’s episode I’m not sure whether to be moved or to be smiling. I have mixed feelings only due to the jokes that were scattered around, and then toppled over from the somewhat somber cliffhanger. In all honesty, as much as I found so many moments I adored in this episode, I almost feel as if Fuko’s arc is turning out somewhat predictable. Though I can understand a few conclusions here and there, my interest as to how they will end it in comparison to the way they are building to that ending is much more of an eye catcher to me. I can’t say Fuko’s story is boring, that’s not necessarily the word I want to use. In fact, a much better way to describe it at this point is just being there. Almost like a roller coaster that is building up to go down, but then it needs to build up again and again and again. Continue reading Clannad Episode 06…

PlayStation 3 Custom Themes

So, occurring on the 8th was supposedly some big deal about a firmware update called 2.0. While this is all nice, I never understood the huge hype for this new update despite the fact it was suppose to be the origins of Home. Basically though, there were never any announcements or promises that this would be a big update after Home was pushed into Spring of 2008. So, why were people still excited? Clannad Episode 05

Why does it seem to me that Key/Kyoto Animation is building up that good feeling vibe to bring it crashing down with up-coming drama? Am I the only one who gets that sense? It’s not a bad thing though, far from it, in all actuality I believe it helped form a very heart-warming episode this time around. Of course, any drama that was apparent was nixed out by some rather rambunctious comedy which only increased the pleasant emotion the episode leaves you. Continue reading Clannad Episode 05…
