I earnestly thought taking a long break from this series would allow me to enjoy it like I did when it first started. However it’s almost like there is no entertainment to be found anymore. Sure, it’s not a horrible series, but every episode delivers the same thing. While this certain one had a little twist at the end, it was predictable and seemed like it had already happened beforehand. I miss laughing when I watch, instead I point out things that are distasteful to me or merely giggle at the pure idiocy—not the jokes that are made. Despite the fact I found this episode much more tame in humor in comparison to the wacky structure of the previous ones, it was some how much more funny to me because the jokes were in a neat order. At first, I found that the episode was beginning to bore me solely because it was focusing on nothing relating to story progression. In all actuality, this is more of a filler episode then one that contributes to the plot itself. It felt empty in some places, but I still couldn’t help to enjoy it. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it, since I’m leaving town in an hour I decided that since it’s a holiday that I’m going to be lazy and supply you with screenshots besides my lengthy rants. I always feel bad because I have little to say when it comes to this series, and have to force a lot of my opinions out in contrast to other shows. Either way, surprise-surprise, it was a whole big prank. What really sucks is the fact I was getting into it on how they were going to escape, and eventually was a bit disturbed by the supposed death of Hosaka. Though it got me angry enough to think to myself do I really want to continue watching without that character? Then it turned out to all be a joke which was incredibly disappointing. Despite being such a Reika induced episode I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Maybe it’s because she’s grown on me a bit, or perhaps because I’ve decided to finally take a chill pill, or even that she seemed a bit more like a human being with feelings (which to me is always nice). Either way, the flow of having Reika butt in every now and again wasn’t so mismatched in my opinion. Though today’s episode showed me the potential of Hosaka and Reika as a possible couple, I believe the shift in focus was nice to introduce the sinister side of the blue haired nag. And here I thought this series would start to get mundane and repetitive, well… go ahead and kick me cause I had two misconceptions. The first I’m actually happy about. Not only did this show provide a new way for laughs besides perverted moments, but it was truly laugh out loud funny. It brought a new form of jokes, and it wasn’t focused solely on Shungo and Mayu, but instead Reika’s and Mayu’s interaction. I would honestly like to see more of the latter because while Reika still has her rage, it’s more keenly placed due to the fact she has a reason for it since Mayu is not the brightest bulb out there. Despite being gone on family business, I found out upon my return that this entry and the one on Gundam 00 would have been late anyway. For Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun I would’ve been stuck waiting for the h264 version which was released earlier yesterday (which was when I wrote this; was just too exhausted to take screenshots). Not only that, the fansubbers I get Gundam 00 from had an unfortunate accident concerning a car, garbage, and their translator. So, whenever they return or release their version of episode three, then I will nab it and make sure to blog it ASAP (my condolences by the way to GundamSnet and I hope their translator well—I hope you sue the pants off that crazy driver!). I find myself watching this show only to either pity or feel absolutely sorry for all the main characters involved with whatever situation arises. Mayu, Shungo, Hosaka, and Reika have the hardest daily life I have ever seen (and I’m the type of person who usually doesn’t feel sorry for someone like Reika whom appears spoiled, bossy, and yells all the time). I mean, a person would think being a succubus wouldn’t be that bad of a job, you get to have sex all day through lustful desires and use men to your advantage. Then again, that only works if you’re evil. Also, if you lived with a succubus who is extremely vulnerable (I still cannot understand how Shungo has not made a move yet, he’s getting shoved more cleavage than a porn star director) how is it you’re still sharing the same bed but haven’t found the motivation to kiss her.
