Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun Episode 09

I earnestly thought taking a long break from this series would allow me to enjoy it like I did when it first started. However it’s almost like there is no entertainment to be found anymore. Sure, it’s not a horrible series, but every episode delivers the same thing. While this certain one had a little twist at the end, it was predictable and seemed like it had already happened beforehand. I miss laughing when I watch, instead I point out things that are distasteful to me or merely giggle at the pure idiocy—not the jokes that are made. I have a feeling as to why the series is twelve episodes because it truly is the same thing over and over. Continue reading Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun Episode 09…

Clannad Episode 11

January 26, 2008 on 8:18 pm | In Anime, Clannad, Currently Watching | 2 Comments

It was nice to have Clannad make me laugh out loud again. I was somewhat scared Kotomi’s arc would bore me because her introduction last episode disappointed me far more then I could truly understand. Despite her cute charm and oddly moe persona, I somehow felt that she would turn into a very flat character. However, episode eleven proved me wrong in every sense due to a decent equality between seriousness and entertainment. I believe there was more then one instant where I felt the need to pause and go back just for the extra laugh. I truly miss Clannad sometimes, and coming back to it after so long just makes it old worth wild when I think of how much I missed the characters. Continue reading Clannad Episode 11…

Gundam 00 Episode 06

Ah, I should have foreseen a cliffhanger like this. I guess I wasn’t smart enough to make the connection with the red-haired guy that he was previously seen in the series. I generally don’t notice things like that (and certainly not at one in the morning when I wrote this post). Even so I felt myself pulled into the episode as to what would happen next only to find that it stopped right when my interest peeked. Oh, how thoroughly cruel. Yes, I did indeed yell at my TV screen. Continue reading Gundam 00 Episode 06…

Winter Season 2008 Preview

January 22, 2008 on 11:58 am | In Anime | 2 Comments

So, I’m not doing a about entry like last season due to the fact I think this season is god-awful… until I actually found a few decent shows in the bunch. I figured a lot of this come about because of the order I watched it in. So to help you understand why I almost gave up on this winter batch of shows I will list them from first watched to recently watched. As for blogging episodes of Clannad, Gundam, and finishing Ninomiya-kun expect that Thursday or Friday. I know I’m behind, seems like every time I sit down to watch anything, I’m asked to get up anyway. So, while I have been playing anime catch up for awhile, only recently did I shorten my list of 60 episodes to 10 or so. That is an achievement for me right now. Gundam 00 Episode 05

January 12, 2008 on 12:05 am | In Anime, Currently Watching, Gundam 00 | 1 Comment

A very lovable episode in turns of character involvement, though it didn’t necessarily help story progression, it worked hard to give a bit of insight on a few of our characters. Very slowly Gundam 00 is becoming more and more likable. Its start was mediocre by my own standards, and it felt lacking solely due to the lifelessness involved. However, it’s beginning to have its own sense of style and uniqueness that it couldn’t seem to find beforehand. I saw this episode as a major improvement solely because the interest in these one sided characters had finally been quelled to a degree. Little mannerisms are starting to appear, and that’s what I truly love. Continue reading Gundam 00 Episode 05…

Clannad Episode 10

Ah, trouble is arising in Clannad world. This was actually the first time I was bored watching an episode. I’m not sure if this was more so due to the fact I have a head cold right now, or merely because the cuteness I once saw in Kotomi kind of faded away due to the fact she was such a center point in the show. Maybe a bit of charm vanished due to the fact that mysterious girl seemed to as well. That, and introductions are never truly very fun in all actuality. Despite that I felt the episode was rather warm and entertaining as always to an extent. Continue reading Clannad Episode 10…

Ikoku Irokoi Romantan OVA Episode 01

January 6, 2008 on 1:50 am | In Anime, Currently Watching, Ikoku Irokoi Romantan | 2 Comments

I was debating for awhile whether this show was worth my time to blog. However, since no one else wants to blog these types of genres I figured why not despite all the cliché moments in the story. It is very linear and for some odd reason could not get out of that habitual form that most yaoi ( <— warning for those reading the summary) falls under. I’m not sure why many of them are very simple in the whole two men meet, have an affair, and that’s about the extent of their commitment. Either it ends at that point or a separation occurs until they can achieve their happy ending supposedly. Continue reading Ikoku Irokoi Romantan OVA Episode 01…

Gundam 00 Episode 04

Once again the Celestial Beings slip into that bad guy role as if its natural. I’m starting to see a slight pattern, not sure if it will continue through the whole show or just until the Gundam pilots change the world for the better. It makes me go back and think of the conflicting debate found in the series Death Note, solely because while there was many things wrong with killing people it was for a greater good. I think Gundam 00 is similar in their approach with the whole eradicate war ideal. Sure, it is indeed revolutionary, but is it right? I could go and debate such a thing for hours on end, and I’m sure many of you could as well. Though it’s really the way a person perceives something. I think if that is the manner in which the directors are going I really would like to see the rest of the story being told. Continue reading Gundam 00 Episode 04…
